Smart city

The development and the extremely fast diffusion of digital technologies provide cities the opportunity of becoming smart, that is translating progress in improved and enhanced services for their citizens through a more efficient use of resources and a lower environmental impact. Therefore cities are called to compete on their ability of introducing technological innovations aimed at improving the citizens’ quality of life, in particular with regard to sustainability and to the possibility of using real time data for optimizing the use of resources provided. Consistently the main pillars which a smart city is founded on are: broadband, smart environment, smart governance, smart mobility, smart tourism and culture.
